Monica Lynn Manoski is an artist, community organizer, Reiki practitioner, and poet. Her work is informed by the study of racial equity principles and alternative medicine practices. She earned a B.F.A. in Drawing and Painting from Arizona State University in 2010, an M.F.A. in Studio Art from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA) in 2013, and an M.S.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from Dominican University in 2016. She has spent her career working as an educator and fundraiser for non-profit organizations, including Teach For America in Chicago and SMFA at Tufts in Boston. In her role as an artist, she wears many hats, including family advocate, event organizer, healing practitioner, spoken word performer, and ritual leader. In all her work, she strives to make positive contributions that empower individuals and support communities.
